“The Proper Foods Stamp” Los Angeles offers many options for a quick and tasty lunch. But the list becomes relatively short if you want to eat a good meal. So good and healthy places are less common than you wish.

Luckily, I found another bistro that impressed me with the food quality, taste, and service. At the corner of Los Feliz and Hillhurst, the Proper Foods Stamp is one of the best in town today. Valérie Hoba, who traded France for LA, has created more than just a restaurant. One looks at the menu and realizes that this is a gastronomic feast. ” My Mediterranean origins have lulled me into this culture of sharing unique moments around an excellent and hearty meal, surrounded by people dear to us. I try to infuse this spirit into the Stamp, like the one found in Parisian bistros”, she told us.

I had a hard time choosing my meal because everything was not what I expected. Gluten-free pasta, bison specialties, gourmet tacos, and sweet potato or apple Jam sandwiches all caught my attention.

But what is on the menu also needs to be fulfilling and tasty. Valerie’s team delivered a lot more than was expected. People make a difference, and you can feel that at the Proper Food Stamp. ” I want to honor my entire team, without whom all this would not be possible. The kitchen team does a remarkable job preparing precise recipes and making the dishes. They all put their attention and professionalism into meeting my requirements ( I am very demanding of the precision of tastes and the visual and quality of the dishes served). They are the musicians without whom the conductor could not convey love and emotion”, Valerie added.

Our server, Eddy, was a delightful host, making us feel like regulars at the bistro. The positive energy radiated by all the staff members, including Tess, Grayson, Isaac, and Gerald, added to the overall success of the Stamp. Their attentive and friendly service enhanced our dining experience, making us feel welcomed and valued. 

It is definitely worth the drive, and the experience will make you want to return. The food is a ten (an LA 10 !).

Los Ángeles ofrece muchas opciones para un almuerzo rápido y sabroso. Pero si quiere comer bien, la lista se vuelve relativamente corta. Y la situación actual con el virus también ha afectado a muchos de los restaurantes en nuestra ciudad. Así que los lugares buenos y saludables no son tan comunes como quisieras.

Afortunadamente, acabo de encontrar otro bistró que me impresionó con la calidad de la comida, el sabor y el servicio. En la esquina de Los Feliz y Hillhurst, Proper Foods Stamp es uno de los mejores locales de la ciudad en la actualidad. Valérie Hoba, que cambió a Francia por Los Ángeles, ha creado algo más que un restaurante. Basta mirar el menú y darse cuenta de que se trata de una fiesta gastronómica. “Mis orígenes mediterráneos me han empujado a compartir momentos únicos en torno a una excelente y abundante comida, rodeado de personas  aquienes tenemos mucho afecto. Aquí intento infundir ese espíritu,  un poco como el que se encuentra en los bistrós parisinos” , nos dijo ella.

Me costó mucho elegir mi comida ya que no esperaba una selección tan eclética. Pasta sin gluten, especialidades de bisonte, tacos gourmet, sándwiches de papa dulce o manzana y jalea me llamaron la atención.

Pero lo que hay en el menú también debe ser satisfactorio y sabroso. Y les cuento que el equipo de Valerie trajo a la mesa mucho más de lo esperado. Estoy convencido de que las personas marcan la diferencia, y en el Stamp, se puede sentir eso. “Quiero homenajear a todo mi equipo, sin el cual todo esto no sería posible. El equipo de cocina hace un trabajo notable preparando recetas precisas .Todos ponen mucha atención y profesionalidad para cumplir con mis requerimientos. Yo soy muy exigente con el sabor que busco, como se ve el plato, y la calidad de  los ingredientes en los platos servidos. Ellos son los músicos sin los cuales el director no podría transmitir amor y emoción ”, comento Valerie.

Eddy, nuestro camarero estaba lleno de personalidad y nos hizo sentir como si fuéramos parte de los “clientes habituales” en el bistro. Se puede sentir una vibra positiva en todas las personas que atienden a los clientes (Tess, Grayson, Isaac, Gerald), lo que hace que el Stamp sea un lugar especial mas alla de la excelente comida.

Definitivamente vale la pena conducir hasta allí, ya que la experiencia querrá que regreses con tus amigos o amigas. La comida es diez puntos.
