Bentayga and Mulliner Reach New Peaks
Attention Angelenos: Bentley Motors is extending the visual impact and dynamic ability of the Bentayga SUV through its Mulliner bespoke division. They are launching a global 20-car collection called the Apex Edition, which is available in six unique specifications curated by Mulliner’s design team. All of them feature a central painted livery stripe that extends over the bonnet and roof, a first for the Bentayga. Additionally, owners of the Continental GT Le Mans Edition can commission an Apex Edition Bentayga to match the trim and livery.
Is this a powerful SUV?
The Bentayga S is the sporting flagship of Bentley’s luxury SUV line-up, boasting 550 HP and rear-wheel steering. Please note that we do not encourage you to exceed the speed limit on Santa Monica Blvd.
What is special about this model?
Mulliner has created six themes for the Apex Edition, each with a distinct exterior and interior design. For example, the first theme features a striking Candy Red satin exterior with an Anthracite and Arctic White stripe and pinstripes in Arctic White. The interior has an Arctic White main hide and Hotspur secondary hide, with white stitching and seat piping. This contrast color also frames the satin carbon fiber fascia and waist rails.
The Apex Edition’s second theme sets a darker, stealthier mood with an Anthracite exterior finish and gloss black livery stripe. Pinstripes in Mandarin provide a flash of contrast. Inside, Mandarin is the main hide, framed by Beluga secondary hide. This shade also frames the satin carbon fiber veneer and over mats.
Design theme three has a bold Orange Flame exterior finish featuring the same color as a livery stripe on the carbon fiber body kit. The livery stripe is also Orange Flame but in a satin finish, creating a subtle tonal variation. Inside, the Linen’s main hide and Newmarket Tan’s secondary hide are complemented by an accent hide in Charcoal, which appears on the seat wings and contrasts stitching, steering wheel, and center console.
Design theme four has a subtle livery stripe in a satin version of the main exterior finish, Alpine Green. An orange pinstripe outlines the aerodynamic components. Inside, Portland and Cumbrian Green are the prevalent tones for the main and secondary hides, respectively, with accents of orange on the contrast stitching, seat piping, veneer edging, console, and steering wheel.
Theme number five features a Pale Brodgar exterior with an Anthracite livery stripe and pinstriping in Bacalar Bronze, a shade originally created for Bentley Mulliner’s ultimate two-seat Barchetta. Inside, Linen and Porpoise hide colors create a relaxed mood, lifted by flashes of Bacalar Bronze in the contrast seat piping, steering wheel, and console accent tabs.
The last design theme features an Extreme Silver exterior finish contrasted by a Beluga stripe running centrally along the bonnet and roof. Painted pinstripes in Signal Yellow flank the body stripe and the lower edge of the aero components. Inside, Signal Yellow’s main hide and Beluga’s secondary hide create a dramatic contrast.
But is it fast?
The Bentayga Apex Edition is the most dynamic-looking and driving Bentayga ever, thanks to its carbon wheels and carbon ceramic brakes, which deliver greater agility and braking performance. If there were no speed limits in California, the Bentayga could reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and accelerate from 0-60 mph (0–100 km/h) in about 4.4 (4.5) seconds.
What if I want one?
Mulliner customers are encouraged to take the curated design proposals as inspiration and further express their individuality throughout the personal co-creation process. Working directly with designers at the Mulliner studio, customers have the opportunity to create true one-of-one expressions of Bentayga.
