The New Aston Martin Arrived in Los Angeles
Exciting news from Aston Martin in Beverly Hills. They’ve just introduced the new Vantage model, and I had the opportunity to attend the unveiling of one of the best ultra-luxury, performance sports cars on the market.
The event allowed the guests to learn about the brand and its history and to celebrate the arrival of the race cars that will compete at the Long Beach Grand Prix.
What makes the new Aston Martin Vantage so unique.?
It’s the most driver-focused and fastest Vantage in the famous nameplate’s 74-year history. I was told that this car is engineered to deliver maximum performance with maximum confidence. This two-seater sports car is all about power, razor-sharp handling, and the perfect balance of a finely tuned front-engine, rear-wheel drive chassis. I spoke to Roman De Angelis, a factory driver for the British car maker, and he said this is better than a Porsche 911.
Is the new Aston Martin powerful.?
Under the hood, you’ll find a hand-built 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine capable of 655 horsepower. The push from the 800+ fl/pbs of torque must be phenomenal. Early numbers for 0-60 acceleration are in 3.5 seconds.
The beautiful coupe comes with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff). A special suspension should also allow precise and immediate control at the track. Reminder note: this is a car for “drivers” who actually enjoy putting the car through its paces at a racetrack and driving to work during the week.
Has the exterior of the new Aston Martin Vantage changed.?
Substantial changes have been made to the body, but it retains the original and recognizable overall shape. This new version has a muscular physique and unmistakable presence. It stands 30mm wider with a more muscular stance and features a completely redesigned front end with a 38% larger re-contoured grille aperture for additional cooling. The designers managed to maintained the iconic shape of the grille. The rear has also been re-worked with a new rear balance and diffuser in Carbon Fiber.
If you’re a fan of thrilling driving experiences, this is definitely a car to keep your eye on. You are getting a world-class sports car backed by 11 world titles in the GT category. There is a lot of craftsmanship on this car, and not too many are built every year. I agree that it is not for those who look for a flashy car; it is a car to drive and enjoy.
Where to see it?
