San Francisco offers unforgettable views
Cavallo Point Lodge
The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the downtown with the Transamerica pyramid,
the port, and so much more. But the city traffic can be a challenge, add to that
the population density and it can be a bit chaotic if you arrived to enjoy a
quiet time.
For those trips I found the perfect place just across the bay. The Horseshoe Bay
offers one of the best views around and Fort Baker, built in 1902, now is a
beautiful park. Within it you find the Cavallo Point Lodge.
I find it to be one of the best hotels with luxurious large rooms and close
enough to the city center but with a peaceful, relaxed environment. There are
two options. You can stay at the historic buildings or the modern buildings.
Different in ambiance, and in the $300 nightly range, both excel in comfort.
Just 8 miles away from Embarcadero and the Financial District the Cavallo Point
Lodge is a great alternative to the downtown rush.
