Another star is created by Rolls Royce
Rolls-Royce is not just a car manufacturer; it’s a symbol of luxury and prestige. It’s often considered the most expensive car brand globally, and for a good reason. Los Angeles is one of the biggest markets in the world. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed the stunning Spectre Lunaflair, a custom commission that is pure “Beverly Hills.” The car’s standout feature is its holographic paint finish, creating a captivating ‘rainbow’ effect.
The name and inspiration for the commission come from the optical phenomenon of a lunar halo, a colorful circle of light around the moon caused by moonlight passing through ice crystals in high-altitude cirrus clouds. Capturing this phenomenon in a custom paint finish required over a year of experimentation to achieve the final finish, achieved by applying seven layers of lacquer, including a specially formulated pearlescent coat infused with delicate flakes of magnesium fluoride and aluminum.
The Spectre Lunaflair concept was inspired by another custom masterpiece, the one-of-a-kind Phantom Syntopia, and was created to reflect the fascination with the lunar halo phenomenon. “We are always amazed by the variety of ideas that inspire our clients’ custom designs. Spectre Lunaflair is a great example of this. It explores the enchanting beauty of a lunar halo inspired by a paint finish on another custom car. This mutual exchange of ideas fosters innovation and creativity, which is very important to our team of designers as we strive to provide exceptional value to our clients,” said Martina Starke, Head of Bespoke Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
The car’s dramatic exterior is complemented by a fully custom interior featuring Navy Blue, White, and Peony Pink tones, recalling the hues of a lunar halo. This custom Lunaflair paint finish is exclusive to the commissioning patron, making them the sole owner of this extraordinary creation.
